Zoom Sings! Returns

Hello Everyone:

I feel like it’s been an eternity since we were together.  Many of you have been with us during our Zoom Sings! Sessions.  I am so heartened by your response and by how many of you found those sessions to be so enervating and welcome.

In that same vein, I’d like to do a couple more in the next few weeks – Wednesday, January 27th, and Wednesday, February 7th, both from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. I truly do understand that many of you cannot do ONE MORE Zoom ‘meeting’ as you are still working virtually in offices and schools.  I really get it!  You know we’d love to have you.  We supply the music, I choose some tunes we have from performances of our archival recordings, and on we go.  A personal note:  The looks on your faces are extremely comforting to me.  If I read them, you do truly love these sessions and you are enjoying seeing each other.

I have been going through many CD’s of our performances, checking your suggestions, and I’ve come up with the following for January 27th.  It seems appropriate to include some patriotic, secular, Broadway, and sacred selections.  From a 2014 performance we will include, PILGRIM’S SONG, REQUIEM, and NELLA FANTASIA. From our Live at the Riv 2015, we’ll include ANTHEM from Chess, and MY FAIR LADY, A Choral medley.  And from our Salute to our Armed Forces, 2017, the STAR SPANGLED BANNER, and HOMELAND.  This Zoom Sings! has something for everyone.  Please join us. I’ll send an invitation in a couple days.

I’m glad to be providing these great opportunities to join together and to sing.  After these two sessions, I’ll be having a knee-replacement, when my surgeon can get operating privileges (hopefully Feb. 17th) as we get a grip on COVID, so lumbering up and down stairs may be testy.  But as soon as I can get back, we’ll continue.

Have a wonderful week of basking in the success of the Buffalo Bills, and I’ll see you on January 27th, hopefully just before we go to the Super Bowl.

Much LOVE.

Marcia
