We’re at CARDINAL O’HARA HS tonight!

Hello Everyone:

Beth Anne and Gail have given detailed info regarding tonight and tomorrow night’s rehearsal and induction ceremony.  Here are some musical notes from me:

  1. Tonight bring ALL your October Music to our rehearsal at CARDINAL O’HARA HS.  Make sure you have a pencil with you.
  2. Rehearsal will be PROMPTLY at 7:00 and can only last until 9:00 PM when the lights will go out. (We get an hour off)
  3. We need to rehearse our music for tomorrow night which will likely include the SSB; American Rhapsody; I Hear America Singing; Wizard of OZ final piece – Somewhere Over the Rainbow; God Bless America; and the Battle Hymn.  If there is more time we may add a piece.  That’s why I want you to have ALL October music with you.
  4. We will have to accomplish all the logistical stuff like lining up on risers, procedures for getting on and off the risers (this will happen 3 times); where we sit in Aud, and how to get there.  Time schedules are absolutely precise (this is what we are told, and this is what we will abide by).
  5. There will be pertinent announcements and we will be doing BCAS business such as: BUYING TICKETS for October 28th; HANDING IN  ads for our programs (a vital part of our yearly mission to stay solvent); CONCERT DRESS check and reminders for tomorrow night; etc. etc.

I am really psyched for this event.  Too bad the music community doesn’t celebrate our artists as much as our athletes (note Sports Hall of Fame press).  See you tonight with your music, your patience, your wonderful singing voices.
