Hello Everyone:
I have been thinking about last week’s rehearsal and the smile it put on my face. You are doing so well with this wonderful music. Thanks for all the work many of you are putting into it.
I was also gratified that there are those of you who wanted to try for the few solos in this concert. I will hear more this Wednesday. So prepare well and let’s hear you.
I am also very happy to see so many of you advertising this concert on Facebook etc. Remember ALL students with a current ID can come to the door and get a ticket for a mere $10.00. This is a real deal. There are HS musicals that are charging much more. A personal comment: And after yesterday’s so called music at the Super Bowl, our kids need to hear choral and orchestral examples of music for the soul.
See you Wednesday night at SH HS. Please be prompt. I am determined to get us all out in a very timely manner. If there are any of you who have not put my markings in your scores, I implore you to please do that by this Wednesday. Your performance of this beautiful music will exponentially increase in musicality if you all follow those markings. We should ALL be doing the same thing on the same page, measure and beat. Think about that. What a great concept.
After this Wednesday’s rehearsal there are 2, count them, TWO rehearsals left to learn this music, AND TO SELL TICKETS TO AN AUDIENCE THAT WILL THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
