Wednesday Sept. 19th Rehearsal Order, etc.

Hello Everyone:

We’re at the HS tomorrow night.  Please remember to bring your music, a pencil with eraser, and be ready to make great strides in learning our October concert literature.

We will rehearse with a goal of being very clear what this music is all about – markings, etc. And in addition, and in order for a consistent set of score markings throughout the entire chorus, I will be telling you about how you can see MY score on line, so that you can place these markings in YOUR individual choral parts. The visual approach to score marking also handles the issue of HOW we mark scores as well as aiding the visual learning style for said markings.

So………….for tomorrow night, the order:

Home on the Range; Ching a Ring Chaw; I Hear America Singing; O Susanna; Announcements I; Anthem; Let Freedom Ring; Announcements II; Rhapsody; Announcements III; Brother, My Brother; BREAK; Ain’t Got Time To Die; Star-Spangled Banner; America, the Beautiful; Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor; God Bless America; Battle Hymn.

Please be prompt.  If you haven’t alerted us already, please email us if you will not be in attendance and know that you will be responsible for getting all markings from the website as that becomes available (hopefully by this weekend).  BTW, only 1 member did not let us know of an absence for last week’s rehearsal.  This is VG, but we’re shooting to 100% communication.  Keep up the good work.

Just a word on Andrea’s request for a ‘team’ of folks to comprise our OPERATIONS Team.  We need you.  The more the merrier and with lots of hands each does less work.  A hallmark of BCAS is our volunteerism.  I would hope that you would all volunteer for some ‘other’ aspect of BCAS activities besides singing.  i thank you all in advance.

Please consider coming on Saturday to the Manor House on the Lake for a terrific socializing day;  and I can’t wait to collect your poker money.  The WNY weather is cooling off just when we’re heating up!  Cool!!!

Thanks Beth for great reminders today.  See you tomorrow night,

M
