Hello Everyone:
As I indicated last Tuesday during rehearsal, I’ve made a change in our program order: It is at the end of this blogtrottrr, so prepare your folders accordingly. I’ll see you at St. Amelia’s Church, 210 Saint Amelia Drive, Tonawanda NY off of Eggert Road promptly at 7:00 PM. As will be the case for both St. Amelia’s and St. Joseph Cathedral we will need time to ‘place the chorus and sitters’. We will obviously have a processional which will take time. So plan on a full rehearsal until 9:30 (hopefully). I am so grateful to our crew as they once again come into a space to figure out how to set up risers, chairs etc. Picking up, driving, unloading, setting up, changing (depending on conductor’s whims), tearing down, reloading onto the truck, driving it back to wherever to be brought to Cathedral to do all over again. Wow!! These are the unseen, unsung heroes of concerts. Thank you all for all of your VOLUNTEER work. My successor will learn immediately that you all are THE BEST.
Processional; Angels We Have Heard On High; Silent Night; A Cradle Carol; Angels’ Carol’; I Wonder as I Wander; Shepherd Play Your Pipes Tonight; The Huron Carol; Sussex Carol; Greensleeves; Gesu Bambino; Ding! Dong! Merrily on High; Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.
On a Personal Note: You all were so sweet last Tuesday as I told you about my new Niece’s birth in London. Little Mia is struggling in the first two weeks of her life. He has had surgery to get ports delivering meds and food. Thfere are a myriad of issues that little one is fighting. Our entire Family and her husband Brent’s family have all risen to pray for our newest, littlest one. Mia is still in the hospital and will be there for awhile. She came home for one day and met her ‘big’ sister Sienna, and unfortunately was taken back in when she showed signs of stress. Please pray for her, her Mom Kate and all of her caretakers. Her Doctors are teams, not just individuals. We are all so impressed with her care. Thanks.
