Hello everyone:
I am not going to comment on the weather because good writing style says one should not start any writing exercise with a weather sentence. However on a personal note, I can’t help but recall the Wicked Witch of the West in THE WIZARD OF OZ saying before she croaked, “I’m melting”. ‘Nough said.
This coming Tuesday night, August 9th, 7:00 PM, I will be hosting a Zoom meeting/music for our entire membership including all SIINGERS PAST AND PRESENT. On the agenda will be our Board members giving short reports. We’ll also have a detailed presentation by our Treasurer Supreme, Rick Lesniak as to where BCAS stands financially after 3 COVID years and only 2 concerts. The meeting will begin promptly at 7 PM with me playing pieces from our past June 5th concert. (Yes, my Zoom is all ready to go and is fixed). The playing of the beginning pieces of that concert will then begin. We’ll end with me playing the final pieces from our concert. The agenda will be a bit like ABA form. Music, Meeting, Music!!! In addition to the Board and Rick and the Treasurer’s Report, I will be giving you particulars for our 22-23 season including schedule, dates and venues for concerts. Hopefully Kevin will put in printable form the schedule so you can get it from the website. I’m so glad we have these dates because I have had a few folks already ask about concert dates for next season so they can plan vacations, and other life events around our schedule.
IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP NOTE: We VERY MUCH need to hear from all those members who were NOT with us any part of last season concerning your return. As you may expect our librarians will need help to get music in folders, and they’ll need to know for whom those folders will be made. PLEASE, please contact me at mgiambrone2@verizon.net to let me know, yea or nay (and perhaps letting me know why) if you will or will not be returning. I ASSUME IF YOU SANG JUNE 5TH YOU’LL BE RETURNING. It will help us so much if we do not have to hunt you down for a reply. Please take the 5 minutes to do this or even to just say hello.
We’ll send a Zoom log in for Tuesday separately.
