The Presentation of Colors Volunteers; schedule for week; and sitters

Hello Everyone:

I’m putting finishing touches on our presentation and script for John Murphy for this Sunday’s upcoming concert.

I’m wondering if there are any military, present and retired who might want to present the colors at our concert.  We’ll need a flag bearer and as many others of you who might wish to participate.  Please email me at mgiambrone2@verizon.net if you are interested.

I’ve had from a few of you who need to sit contact me already.  If you haven’t yet, please email me ASAP (mgiambrone2@verizon.net) so that Sharon can set up our cards appropriately for Wednesday’s rehearsal.

Also at Wednesday night’s rehearsal, and after sitters are placed within our concert seating chart, I will be asking the women what color pashmina each will be wearing so I can make some adjustments for color, etc. on Wednesday and not spend any time doing it on Sunday at our dress rehearsal.

A review of this week’s schedule:

Wednesday – Sweet Home High School – 7-9:30 (or perhaps a few minutes later); Bring all tickets and money back by Wednesday since Tom and his crew will not have any time to take care of you on Sunday.

Sunday – Please note all changes of times.  St. John Vianney Church, 1950 Southwestern Blvd, OP 14127 please arrive and park by 1:45 and not before (unless you are crew).  There is a 12 noon mass and the parking lots will be just letting out.  PLEASE PARK DOWN BY THE SCHOOL in order to allow our audience to park comfortably. Leave all valuables at home .  There will be NO area to leave anything.  The church does NOT have any area for us to gather as a whole before the concert. We will be in two separate sections and when time to sing, we will be coming in from the sides of the church.  Rick and Ali will be figuring all that out.  So, LEAVE ALL VALUABLES AT HOME.  Dress rehearsal 1:55 – 3:10; The Concert is at 4:00 PM.

If the enthusiasm of ticket buyers at SJV all weekend is any signal as to our audience, we are in for a very enthusiastic reception.  I heard from so many that they couldn’t wait for the concert, knew we were a wonderful group and were so grateful we were coming to salute our military men and women.  A couple even left a donation for us.

See you Wednesday – and yes, we will be doing a few Christmas tunes.
