Stuff from me!

Hello Everyone:

This past Wednesday and Saturday our BCAS family came together for two picnics to end the year, and to help me retire with a smile on my face, and a HUGE THANK YOU on my lips and LOVE oozing out of my heart.  You succeeded as you always do.  The weather for both events had absolutely nothing to do with the abundance of camaraderie, fun, fabulous food, unsurpassed helpers, grillers, greeters, setter uppers, cleaner uppers and even vacuumers. And don’t forget the garbage takers. Even the sun cooperated in that there were two sunsets, (kind of).

All our ‘guests’ commented to me at one time or another what wonderful people you all are.  They felt welcome and comfortable with each of you.  And they said the conversations were diverse and delightful.

I received cards and well wishes and personal notes from so many.  Your monetary gifts along with gift cards amounted to more than $1200.  I will have great lunches at Subway, wonderful meals at Pasquale’s, the Olive Garden, Carrabas, with Door Dash, and on and on. The signed picture of Steve Tasker #89 is a prize, and the formal portrait of BCAS including signage from members is a treasure.  For anyone who has been to my house, my garage is a photo gallery of family pics, and the BCAS one will fit right in for all to see. It will have a central location.

I am facing some major neck surgery (rods and screws from C2 – T2), sometime after September 25th, so my plan is to get to London to hug my American Brits, especially our newest family addition, Ms. Mia Joy.  I will then take another trip to SF to help Noelle, recently seen as a reluctant on-stage persona last Sunday, as she celebrates her 10th Birthday.

My summer plans will need some help from you wonderful volunteers.  I will be sending all my orchestral music scores to David, along with the notebooks of one piece each of our music library of over 600 titles.  I’ll be sending out a few dates for the next few weeks to see who might be able to help me.  Another THANK YOU!  David wanted to know how much there was, and I was reluctant to let him know.  He and I will chat about this eventuality.

I’ll see you all on Tuesday for the Annual Meeting, SH HS, 7:00-8:30.  Yes, I’ll be there.  Read the files that Tina sent so you can vote with all the information you need.

Happy Father’s Day to all dads, of all types.

M
