Snow Forecasts, Zoom, Tickets

Hello Everyone:

We enter into the snow season.  Forecasts call for snow this week, possibly starting Wednesday but more possibly and heaviest for Thursday and Friday.  The Southtowns seem to have a bullseye on them, but all of us will get this predicted lake effect snow event.

Here is what BCAS does in these events:

  1.  If Sweet Home closes on Wednesday (even during the day canceling all after school activities) – we have to cancel rehearsal
  2. If the snow event gets treacherous enough that we don’t think its safe to drive to rehearsal, Kevin and I will decide to cancel and announce that decision in our BCAS Blog and also on Facebook by 4:00 PM.  At this point I’m not sure our TV info (those scrolls along the bottom of your screen) are up to date. So Blog and Facebook it is.  Perhaps Kevin knows more about that.
  3. If the weather becomes a snow warning instead of snow watch, we will let you know of our decision as that changes.  As of now it is a snow watch for Wednesday.

My guess is that we have to consider what the winds will bring.  I am very happy we have our Zoom as an option for those of you who don’t want to put yourselves in any driving difficulties. If that is the case,  I will expect you to join us on Zoom.  But if you can get to rehearsal safely, that is obviously the best scenario.  And of course if you’re not feeling well, or have been exposed to flu, Covid, or any other infectious disease, stay home and join us on Zoom.

We have 2 regular rehearsals left, 1 dress and 2 concerts.  Our greatest concert and what is difficult is ticket selling.  We count on membership to get folks on line to purchase tickets if you can’t deliver those tickets to them.

Don’t you just love this time of year.  And of course Buffalo drivers are the best in snow, EXCEPT during that first snowfall.  Yikes.

Take care, see you tomorrow, (maybe) and please, please sell tickets.
