Hello Everyone:
Thanks Kevin for outlining our ‘until further notice’ rehearsal, etc. protocals for Fall 2021. Our Board meeting unanimously voted concern for our members during this Delta Variant resurgence to require vaccination and masks until further notice.
We are so thankful to Linda Lang for pursuing our partnership with St. Christopher’s Church on NF Blvd. (address in title for you to Google if you don’t know where it is – basically 1 mile north of Bouilevard Mall).
We are also thankful to Rick Lesniak and Carl Eberhard and their crew for putting together our folders for September 15th. I’m not listing our pieces. I want you to feel like it’s Christmas Day when you open up and see what is in the packet.
Bob Hull will definitely be our accompanist.
Nancy and I went to our first ‘in person’ Mass yesterday. We sang with masks. I breathed every two (2) NOTES, no joke, and I’m not kidding. Our brains will be able to recall some of the pitches, but our technique will be extraordinarily limited. This fact is especially for those who have not been singing singing March of 2020. It will be very interesting what type of music making we can do on September. And that’s WITH masks. So…………………start doing some vocalises. Especially if you’re a ‘senior’ singer who has NOT sung in a while. Just know, I HATE masks also!
September 15th will gathe from 7:00 – 8:30 at St. Christopher’s for a Board update, but I’ve asked Bob to be there to help us through the singing from 8:00 – 8:30. Come on time to pick up your music, get acquainted with Church parking, where your seat will be, and where the bathrooms are! Very important! We will begin promptly at 7:00PM. Singing rehearsals will officially begin on Wednesday starting October 6th. Pray that Delta will start to leave us. Get vaccinated if you are not.
