* NOTE: Nancy and Gary Behrns, Chris Jasen will be absent so their pieces will not be rehearsed.
You’ll notice that the solos within a medley will be rehearsed during the time allotted for that particular medley UNLESS it is a ‘stand-alone’ solo such as Someone Like You and Your Daddy’s Son.
Next week we do the full concert with drums. I ask that you might be able to stay next week an extra 15 minutes to 9:45 PM. Also please note, there is NO time to go back and redo anything. So please, please, be prepared for a hard and intensive rehearsal. We’ll all be so pleased it went well afterwards. I will be very focused on making optimum music with you, so NO stopping for Diction (endings, etc.), Dynamic markings, etc.
I am REALLY looking forward to these last couple rehearsals of the season. I worked on the program and Director’s Notes for over 6 hours today, and each time I put something else in its proper place, the juices were flowing. SELL, SELL, SELL, for I believe folks will be talking about this concert of a while.
Thanks for all you do to be as accurate and on top of this music as possible.
See you tomorrow night.
M
