One heck of a job well done!!!!

Hello Everyone:

My Goodness Gracious!!!  In terms of concerts/audience reaction, yesterday’s performance and our audience’s unfiltered shouts and claps tell such a wonderful story of what we are all about.  I am so proud of all of you.  Of course, like everyone else, I put my head on the pillow last night and my thoughts spun and spun as I reflected on a fabulous concert performance and a first-rate audience reaction.  And yes, other thoughts come into my mind. Almost every single member of BCAS contributed over and above the actual singing performance.

The CREW:  What can we say but thank you all for your incredibly organized methods of setting up our logistical concert needs- from risers, to podium, to literally moving a baby grand piano up two steps, – to setting up our NEW sound system, and working it – to tearing down, cleaning up etc. – you all are supremely adept at your jobs.  Take a BOW!!! – Thanks Rick L. for organizing this amazing assemblage of humanity – strong, robust, and ever-caring!   BTW: Chris Rockwell’s sister was in attendance – Chris sent her – and she showed me a plethora of pics of Baby Boy Rockwell, born 6 days ago.  What a handsome bugger!!!!!

The TICKET TAKERS, USHERS, HOUSE HELPERS:  All who volunteer to help us are related to us in one way or another.  We have such a selfless group who give their time to us – Bravo All.  We sold 169 at the door, and some CD’s.  Yea! Team!

The MEMBERS:  Outside of singing, how many of you helped with such things as ‘pashmina’ patrol, patriotic tie assemblage, cleaning up and leaving NO DNA of ours in the chapel, gathering room, or crying room, making rehearsal tapes, lining us up, handing out and collecting music, selling tickets, collecting money, selling ADS – keep them coming!!!! – program notes and putting together a great looking program befitting of our singing- helping with publicity – going to Veteran Clubs -and on and on – You are all an outstanding collection of giving people.  No wonder BCAS is second to none in its volunteerism.  SECOND TO NONE!!!

John – another magical, musically effective, tremendous performance.  Such sensitive playing.  We are so lucky to know you, let alone have you as our accompanist !

Dan Fronckowiak.  You OWN this song!  And the audience showed its love and affection – WELL DESERVED.  To the MEN of BCAS as well.

SSA:  You made me cry during He’s Gone Away – preceded by the letter, I almost couldn’t keep it together.

QUILT:  YES!! Phew ! We just made it.  We’ll let this baby settle a bit, like good wine, and my guess is that it will be better and better.  Great job!!

THANK YOU ALL for singing, doing, being, helping, loving, selling, moving, collecting, etc., etc., etc.

TASK:  Duplicate this for three Christmas concerts.  The challenge is ON!!!!!

Love you all to the ends of each riser!!!!!
