Hello Everyone:
Welcome Back! in more ways than one. We are so pleased to welcome back folks who have not sung with us in a long while, and also those who have had limited chance to sing. We will officially welcome new members tomorrow night.
- We’ll begin our first rehearsal of the 22-23 concert season, BCAS’ 56th, at Sweet Home HIGH SCHOOL. NOTE: Next week we will be at SH MIDDLE SCHOOL, September 14 due to Open House at the HS.
- Our times for now are 7:00 – 9:00 PM with a couple chances to have important announcements. These times could change depending on rehearsal preparedness. COME EARLY TO GET YOUR MUSIC to find your seat, see friends, reconnect and be ready for the 7:00 downbeat. I’ll surely be ready!!! Our schedule is so tight this semester, we need to be very disciplined in looking at the Blogs, on Website and Facebook to make sure everyone’s on the same page. We’ll be challenged somewhat in every way, (musically and administratively) to get this October 23rd concert to the audience in our typically wonderful BCAS manner…. with musical excellence.
- If you are not a friend of BCAS in our special, private Facebook page, please see Tina Reece (thanks Tina) to be given permission by her (an administer). If you don’t get blogs, (ha, you’re reading one,) please see Shandra Holt, (thanks Shandra).
- If you’re going to be absent, you need to let me know for many reasons. If I know you’re not going to be at rehearsal, I paper clip your card so we don’t set up a chair (more room to spread out). PLEASE STAY HOME IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL. However, we will be zooming each rehearsal, and it would behoove all of us to make sure we see those rehearsals to get changes in musical things. A Zoom invitation will be sent out to all by Tom Naber. (thanks Tom for taking care of this). I will have a ‘lesson plan for the week’ sent out on Monday, if not sooner.
- Email (mgiambrone2@verizon.net) and copy Gail Leary (shadowlear@aol.com), Sharon Darisse (sdarrise@msn.com), and Beth Anne Jasen (emjasen56@gmail.com for ALL ABSENCES, not later than 3:00 pm on Wednesdays if for any reason you will be absent. This is very important so we’re not scrambling around trying to find chairs, who’s not going to be there. Sometimes I have to change my lesson plan if we have a rash of absences in any one voice part, or individual people.
- When you check in tomorrow night with Gail, please also check with Beth Anne, (Secretary), who is charged with coming up with an UP TO DATE roster. She will need every one of you to see her at some point to check your data for accuracy, or to make changes, (email, phone, address, etc.)
- We will be back to SH HS in the choral room. It will be tight. If you wish to wear masks, feel free. Basically, our policy is up to date with CDC and the County regarding COVID protocols. Masks can also be options for our audiences as well.
