Hello Everyone:
Tomorrow is March 1st. Wasn’t it just Christmas and New Years Eve.! Yikes this year is flying by. When I realize that I have but 17 more times with you, I get all nostalgic. Of course, in those 17 time, 2 are concerts!. How did I ever deserve to be your conductor???? I guess I was in the right place at the right time. I owe my 36 years with BCAS strictly to Mike Fabiniak who had the faith to contact km on that fateful Sunday in January of 1983 after John Ricca, the BCAS conductor fell ill and couldn’t continue through that May. The rest is history. But secondarily are the tons of singers who have sung under the banner of Buffalo Choral Arts Society. I owe everything to you.
Beyond nostalgia, we will have our penultimate rehearsal before combining with orchestra for this fabulous March concert this coming Wednesday night. Here is the schedule:
Wednesday, March 1st – Sweet Home High School – 7:00 – 9:30 Regular rehearsal
Wednesday, March 8th – St. Joseph Cathedral – 7:00 – 10:00 (possibly).
Friday, March 10th – St. Jose[h Cathedral – 7:00 – 10:00 (Dress rehearsal but no concert dress needed. Please wear shoes and hair style you will be using at the Sunday concert.) PLEASE REMEMBER TO AVOID ALL SCENTS, ESPECIALLY FRUITY, FLORAL STUFF. There are singers who are allergic and can’t breath as they inhale what you
Sunday, March 12th – St. Joseph Cathedral – Report Time is 1:15; Concert at 3:00 PM I strongly suggest you come in concert dress. As you know there are few and far between lavatories or anything like changing rooms.
