Hello Everyone:
You are so kind, so caring, so wonderfully concerned. Thanks for your emails and posts. I am fine. As I indicated when I got home last Wednesday courtesy of the Goblemobile, I felt like I was recovering from my ill-timed and hasty medical exit. Total dehydration. Some of which was caused by meds, but mostly because I am not wedded to a water bottle as many people are. I urge all of you to make sure you have water with you for rehearsals. We have often found that rehearsals in the fall are difficult to regulate due to the lack of temperature air control in most school classrooms. I found it particularly warm even at the beginning of last Wednesday’s rehearsal. Anyway…
Next week is our last rehearsal for October music before the dress rehearsal. Please do what you need to do so we can to ensure your comfortability with each of our numbers. We all know the ones that are tricky, and the top of the list is ‘JOHNNY’. Text, text, text. Here is the concert order so put your music in this order. I will try hard not to change things. A suggestion: Don’t put your music in your folder just yet as I may change one or two of these.
The Star-Spangled Banner; Zion’s Walls; Alleluia; Sure on This Shining Night; Pilgrim Song; Omnia Sol; Salute To the Armed Forces; When Johnny Comes Marching Home; The Homecoming; Song for the Unsung Hero; The Awakening; Battle Hymn of the Republic
My deep gratitude to Doug for seamlessly caring on for me. Thanks Buddy.
See you all Wednesday for what I know will be a great rehearsal.
M
