Hello Everyone:
I have this to say on that!!! “We isolate now – so that when we do get together, no one is missing.”
I saw this on Facebook and immediately thought of BCAS and its wonderful members.
In my last week Blog , I mentioned that we were trying to put together a musical activity for our Zoom meeting on OCTOBER 28TH, (Note: NOT October 21st as one member thought). It will possibly be centered around participants singing along with 1 or 2 pieces of music of your choice WITH a BCAS concert recording That objective will also require us to put a music score on the Zoom page and/or the website prior to the meeting. Besides singing with ourselves, it will also give me an opportunity to let you hear our own concert performance of that work, and hear your own musical critique of said work. Here’s a thought……………….We should try to do this in the future with some pieces after every concert performance, or even a rehearsal. See…..COVID does have a positive among the million negatives.
Several members have sent me a few titles of their favorites songs. If you haven’t done that, do try to send me something (mgiambrone2@verizon.net). I will compile a list of those titles that we might be capable of using for an upcoming Zoom activity. Get these to me by the end of the week and during what will be a rotten weather weekend coming up, I will get those possible pieces to you with other information.
Remember that the next Zoom meeting, whether we will try this or not, will be WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28TH, 7:00 PM.
