Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hello everyone:

West Seneca is being buried right now and will continue to get pummeled with snow through this evening. I haven’t been able to leave my house since early Thursday.  Thank goodness I suffered Wegmans many lines ringing around the store and got enoughfood to keep me OK.  AND thank goodness we didn’t loose power.  I know some of you did and still have no heat or electricity.  I am so sorry! Nancy literally lives 4 buildings down from me and she and I could not even try to get to each other.  I am so DONE with winter!.

I wish you every joy of this holiday season including heat, internet, someone else to plow and shovel you out, and cook your meals.  I wish you a most Happy New Year.  I, for one, can’t wait to see 2022 go bye bye.  My family has had many, many difficulties and illnesses.  I wish them all more positive times.  Prayers are sent to all of you and them.

Before you know it, we’ll be back to begin our March concert music preparation.  In addition to Faure’s REQUIEM, we will be performing his CANTIQUE DE JEAN RACINE (we’ve never done this with orchestra), and three Forrest pieces that we did last June.  It will be a beautiful program and I’ve already had some people tell me they are definitely getting tickets for this concert.

We will finish our season on June 11th, where I will step away from my position as MD/C.  Before long we’ll be in sunshine and summer.  Let’s make every effort to get BIG audiences for these two wonderful concerts.

So…please take care of yourselves, let me know if you’ve been on LOA and are coming back (some of you have done that already), and definitely let me know if there is any change to your membership status, or data so we can keep our Roster up to datel

Many wishes for a good New Year

M
