Looking Ahead

Hello everyone:

As a good choral buddy of mine said as he come up to me after the concert yesterday, “Spectacular”.  And it was in every way.  You delivered as well as any time.  So much personal learning music went into this concert.  Bravo to all of you.  It was indeed spectacular.

And your food was great.  What a fabulous reception.  I cannot thank you all enough for that wonderful event.  I bow to Gail Leary, Eileen Brusino and their HUGE committee of worker bees.  OUTSTANDING.  It had a chance to speak with and to meet with so many people.  It was a joy.

So the 24 hours to enjoy this is almost over.  Several things happen on Wednesday night.  1.  Elections for our Board.  Please take the time to read the statements of our candidates so you can make a well-informed judgement for your votes. 2.  We welcome back some singers who could not be with us for the first concert this year.  WELCOME BACK  Jeff Mitton, B2, Danielle Paradowski S1, Ali Searer S1, Nancy Behrns S2, Gary Behrns T2.  We’ll also have a new member.  Kamra Phillips will be joining us. 3.  As sweet as it is to welcome back folks, we will be losing Sue LoBrutto (surgery), Gert Wolski (surgery), Chris Rockwell (work); June Martin (heading to Florida)

I hate to do this, and I will do everything in my power to be as efficient as possible, and knowing you all want to get home as early as possible, but I just have to extend rehearsals back to 9:30.  So our new time if 7:00 to 9:30.  It will just be for Christmas. We have ONLY 5 rehearsals before our Dress at St. Amelia’s on November 30.  Where has the time gone.  You were remarkable in preparing October, and I will expect an equal amount of time spent on learning our new Christmas music.  I don’t think there is a ‘Johnny’ in the packet, but we definitely want to equal if not surpass the musicality you showed for all the world yesterday in our 2 December concerts.

A few more hours to enjoy the afterglow then its on to ANGELS SING!.

See you Wednesday prepared to vote for our Board of Directors.

Love you muchly,

M
