It’s impossible to say so many thank yous in one lifetime!

To My Dear BCAS Family:
In these last couple of weeks since our ‘hoo-ha’ at the RIV and the 2 picnics at the Manor House in Derby, I have had you all on my mind and in my heart. The card to me was signed ‘from your BCAS family’. Well, ain’t that a true statement or what?
We have been a family, haven’t we, with all the ups and downs that word engenders? I’d like to think that there were far more ups than any downs there might have been.
I was told by my manicurist today, a lovely lady with whom I’ve grown to know and love like family also, that I cover my sadness with laughs and jokes. I think she is very right. And my guess is that is why I laughed my way through this last year in so many rehearsals.
I will miss you all so very much, especially every Wednesday. I will miss the camaraderie, the friendship, the respect for singing, and of course the actual singing. I sat very uncomfortably last Tuesday when David was unveiling his plans for the next concert year, his goals, and his strengths. But, in my heart of hearts I know you are in wonderful hands. I just won’t be there.
Please stay with this fabulous arts organization, doing more and more to keep BCAS in the minds of WNY and in their ears also. You love to sing, and it looks and sounds like it. And you act it also with all your volunteerism, your steadfastness, and your dedication to each other. Support this new Board, but let your voices be heard. That’s how BCAS grew over these many decades.
Given all that, how in heaven’s name do I thank each and every one of you for all you have done for me. I’m finding it impossible. But I truly want you to know that I hold you and BCAS in the highest esteem and you will be with me forever.
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for EVERYTHING you have done BCAS,
Much Love,
Marcia
