Good Morning Everyone:
The weather report suggests all kinds of problem scenarios for tonight. Some areas already are in a Winter Storm Warning, others in an Advisory. It’s not just the snow that affects us driving to rehearsal. It’s the Sleet possibility. I, for one, will drive in anything, but sleet is worrisome. It gives me white knuckles.
Therefore, I am canceling tonight’s rehearsal. Please, if you can, sing through the Requiem tonight with your learning tapes, and CD”s. If for nothing more, the text will help. If you could even do some score study – that is look at your part in relationship with others. We can learn a lot from seeing what other parts are doing. Put the kids to bed, get your favorite beverage, and just go through your scores. For those of you who still have not marked your scores, PLEASE this would be a great night to do that. There still are many of you who have not done that and you’re just going with a score with previous markings. Also, by canceling, we reduce the chance of spreading germs. January and winter are cold and flu season. I know some of you are struggling with those symptoms. There already have been notices for absences.
And then there will be some who wonder if we’ve jumped the gun. Better safe (your safety), than sorry! Stay safe and healthy and be careful with any driving tonight.
