Hello Everyone:
Unfortunately, we will cancel yet another rehearsal. Kevin and I have been watching the weather and radar all day, and we agree this is NOT getting better, nor will it. My recollection having spent my whole life in WNY for the winters, is that we have THE best snow removal in the entire country. BUT…………..that snow will not be removed until it stops. My phone has had some weather advisories just start to come in. And, if you know me, I’d drive anywhere, at anytime. I don’t even want to do this tonight. Those of us who drive to and from rehearsals on major roads, and the Thruway, won’t find clear sailing. The roads are snow-packed already and another heavier snowfall is going to happen just as we begin rehearsal. Those plows won’t really help until this starts to dissipate.
So……………….we have to cancel yet again.
Reasons why!
- Driving could and will be very dangerous.
- While we’re in a rehearsal that we might barely get to, we would be worrying the entire time on what we faced going home.
- We are OK on literature for April 6th music.
- We have already over 20 absences.
Reasons to have rehearsal!
- It’s our weekly therapy.
- It’s a way to get out of the house.
- #$$%^%&^&**(*(()*()_))_+_+_+_
- Our administrivia will suffer………….but we can regain momentum quickly and with all of us putting in some extra efforts.
- We have a free evening to mark our scores.
So………………………….we’re cancelling.
Take care, be safe, drive smartly. Those of you going to Michael Buble concert, take your time and please, please drive safely.
M, your director with much angst and agita!!!!!!
