Good Morning Everyone:
On the way home from rehearsal last Wednesday Paula Belair was in a nasty accident in which she was injured and her car was totaled.
I spoke with her yesterday and although she is downplaying all of her injuries, she is in a ton of aches and pains due to several cracked ribs and a cracked sternum, bruises and all that comes with those. She will be out of action for a while. Anyone who has had any rib injury will attest to the pain of any movement or breath. I tried not to make her laugh.
Due to Paula’s unstinting volunteerism to BCAS and all of us, we will miss her very much. Prayers, and good feelings are sent to her. Isn’t it ironic that she had a chance to tell us a little bit about herself last Wednesday. This is not the best last few months for Paula and Charlie. I know you will especially keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Paula WILL keep on receiving your absence notifications and will set up the cards at her home, but thankfully Nancy Osolkowski will put the cards on your seats each week. Thanks Nancy for coming to Paula’s and our rescue.
Aren’t we glad this weekend didn’t fall on a Wednesday?
See you next week at SHHS, and remember to come in the far door since a new entrance policy is in effect at the school.
Enjoy being hunkered down. Stay warm!
M
