Hello Everyone:
Lots of stuff is happening ‘behind the scenes’ to ensure a top-flight November concert at St. John Vianney parish. And again, please remind yourselves and all your friends and relatives who are coming that we TURN THE CLOCK BACK that day.
This past weekend, I spoke to all the SJV Masses regarding our performance for the military. They were very enthusiastic about this. We will be stuffing the parish bulletin for this coming weekend with our marketing stuff. The program will be a compilation of song, letters, quotes. All in the name of our Armed Forces, men and women who keep us safe.
I ask two things:
- Do any of you have access to church mailings in the OP, WS, Cheektowaga area churches- bulletins, newsletters, etc. into which we can put our ‘stuff’ – the small flyers?
- Do any of you have an ‘in’ at VFW Halls for the same purpose?
- Are there two of you (or more to even out the work) who can sell tickets at SJV after the 8 (8:45), 10 (10:45) and 12 (12:45) masses this coming Sunday October 22nd, and October 29th. I’m not able to do it. I will be selling them at the Saturday 4:30 for both weeks. The tickets are also available at the rectory during the week.
I’d really appreciate this help. There may be a couple folks from the church who might be able to help, but I’d love it if we were on premises and available to answer any and all questions that might be asked regarding the music.
