Hello Everyone:
I am closing off audition sign ups as of 9:00 am today, Tuesday, April 17th. Ample time has been given for all to get to me. So, unless you’ve have been Rip Van Winkle or been in a coma for the last month, I will hear the singers listed below. Note that this is a revised schedule. Note that rehearsal on May 2nd will probably end 30 or so minutes early to accommodate the overflow auditioners also listed below. We have a bumper crop of folks who have requested a solo audition time. I am truly thrilled that you are so interested. We can be proud of a choral ensemble which has so many folks who want to sing solos. Thank you all for your incredible interest.
Please, Please know that when you come to sing, you need MUSIC. If your song is from Hunchback, or Jekyll (Vocal selections from), or part of the choral medley I have that book or you have that medley. You also will be performance ready as if you’re on stage at the RIV in front of 1100 audience members. You will be asked to come well in advance of your assigned time, music ready, opened and ready to go. I have assigned 5 minutes for each audition. This is a VERY tight schedule. Also please note that if the solo is long, and in order to stay on this very tight schedule, I may just hear a portion – 3 minutes or so of your piece. Please, please do not be offended if this might happen to you. I am very determined to begin our choral rehearsal promptly at 7:00 pm. I do not want members non-auditioning members to wait for us. I ask your cooperation on that. I know you’ll do everything in your power to make all this happen. Thanks so much.
