Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone had a great summer. I spent most of my time preparing for our upcoming season and working on my house project. Thank goodness the house is almost done!
The board and I have been working hard to prepare for this season. We have been working on budget items, assessing the sound system, 60th Anniversary Season planning, and cleaning out the choral library, to name a few. We couldn’t exist if it weren’t for our hard-working and dedicated board! Thank you!
I’m filled with anticipation and excitement for our upcoming season. Our first concert, Ghost, Goblins, and Other Musical Oddities, promises to be a thrilling program. Slightly bone chilling, but hauntingly beautiful. Christmas, Holiday Favorites Old and New, is shaping up to be a beautifully entertaining experience, both for the audience and you, our singers! The performance rights for Dona Nobis Pacem, our March concert Masterwork, by Ralph Vaughan Williams, are almost secured and our final concert of the season, Sing for Me, the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, needs not words to describe.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday, August 28th for our first gathering. During our first meeting you will receive music packets, more specific information about each concert, and a report from the board. I hope everyone joins us!
Until then, enjoy the remaining days of summer, start singing in the shower, and sharpen your choral pencil.
See you then,
David
