Hi Everyone,
I’m sorry for sending our rehearsal plan and soloist announcement out late.
Thank you so much for your consistent work preparing the music prior to rehearsal. All part work should be done. Please continue to review sections of the music that still give you trouble. This weeks rehearsal will focus on resolving any remaining part issues, vocal production, and interpretation. Please take time this week to review the poetry, and listen to the example recordings from beginning to end, observing dynamics, phrasing, and overall “feel” of the works. I Am In Need of Music will be preformed exactly like the recording. The recording is of my HS Concert Choir, and that performance is my interpretation of the work. I sent this recording to David Brunner, the composer, and he actually sent an email response with accolades to the interpretation. He even invited the choir to perform that work and several others under his direction at Carnegie Hall, but the concert date did not work.
