Thank you to everyone who auditioned for a full-length solo for the Riviera Theatre concert. It is a difficult decision to include or not to include. Please know that I spend a lot of time thinking about the solo, the voice, and how the piece works in the overall picture of the concert. If you were not selected, please do not assume it was the quality of your audition. It may have been that the song did not fit into this concert, the song/key did not fit your voice, or there were too many of the same song type. Please continue to audition. The more times I hear your voice the better I get to know your voice.
Attached is the final solo selections. Please give me a single copy of your solo so I can evaluate the quality of the arrangement. If I have a better arrangement or can find a better arrangement, I will provide it. I would like to meet with each soloist several times before the concert. Please see me to sign-up for at least two time slots.
