Please find below all the information you need to start your preparation for our Requiem concert.
Reference Recordings – Please listen to all the recordings using a good set of headphones. This will give you a better listening environment and cleaner clearer sound.
The recording for I Am In Need of Music is from my High School Choirs’ Carnegie Hall performance. Please pay close attention to the blend, balance, the rise and fall of the musical phrases, and how the text matches the phrase.
The recording for The Music of Stillness was performed by The Hagenberg Singers. They are a wonderful group. This song will show off the men’s section. They provide a strong harmonic foundation to support the women’s sound.
There are two recordings of the Requiem for the Living. The Bob Jones University Choir is accompanied by a chamber orchestra, which is the instrumentation we will use, and I like female soloists. The recording from Rome uses a full orchestra, which is not what we will use. I like the energy they put into their performance.
Rehearsal Notes – There are two links, one has all the Requiem markings and the other one has the remaining two pieces. Please mark your scores prior to our first rehearsal.
Practice Tracks – The link for the Requiem contains 5 folders, one folder for each movement. Each folder has all the rehearsal tracks for that movement.

The Requiem is a beautiful work, and the other two pieces as just a beautiful. The whole concert revolves around finding rest and peace. I hope you love the programming! Thanks you in advance for your preparation.
