Reception Info for Sunday’s Post Concert Gathering

Hi, all,

In an effort to avoid taking singing time away from you on Wednesday night, here are my tidbits.  This gathering is a great big thank you to all of you for working during rehearsals without a break to spend time with each other.  We will do this again following the concert at the Cathedral.

  1.  The Post Concert Gathering will occur immediately following the concert.  Chorus members AND your guests (the entire audience) will be invited to join together for some refreshments and relaxation.  The Gathering will take place in the vestibule of the church.  This will eliminate the use of stairs for anyone with a handicap or a problem navigating stairs safely.  We will fill our plates with the food offered and then you may take a seat in the church itself and sit together with fellow chorus members or concert attendees.  Everyone helping collapse the risers and pack everything up for departure, please cut into the line and eat first.  See me if you feel awkward cutting the line.  I will get you in!
  2. There will be autumn soup, stuffed mushrooms, little reuben sandwiches, hot and cold cider offered by the church and we will offer dips and chips, crudites, veggie pizza squares, muffins or scones, a couple of surprises from the savory collection and loads of cookies, brownies and donut holes from the sweet collection.  I have 12 chorus members bringing sweets and 11 chorus members bringing something savory.  One helper bringing napkins.  THANK YOU, ALL!
  3. If you are still thinking about bringing something, please let me know tomorrow night.  I think we could use some small plates, small napkins, water bottles, any kind of fruit idea ( fruit and dip, or fruit kabobs, etc.) and probably some other savory things (cheese and crackers, taco dip and chips, any kind of side dish cut into squares, etc. )
  4. I will work with the two ladies from the church to set this up.  Look for me Sunday in the vestibule area with your “offerings” when you arrive on Sunday.
  5. I will need a few people to help with the clean up.  We will need people to walk through the church to pick up any programs, plates, cups, etc.  We will need help cleaning up the serving area and the vestibule.  Garbage will be plentiful with all of us and the audience with paper products used.  IF YOU ARE ABLE TO HELP, PLEASE SEE ME TOMORROW NIGHT SO I KNOW THAT I HAVE ENOUGH HELPERS.
  6. I will not be bringing the rosters tomorrow night and I will take attendance once you are on the risers so no worries about checking in with trivia.  With that said, I’m sure tickets will be available for purchase from Tom and crew.
