I hope you are all enjoying the start of another week. Despite the rain, temperatures are warming up this week which is enough to put anyone in a Springtime mood. Speaking of springtime, our March concerts are THREE rehearsals away. And we need to sell tickets folks. We have so many GORGEOUS pieces, it would be a shame to perform them to an empty audience. Is there anyone in your life that you think could use an evening or afternoon of peace and reflection, to forget about the stresses of the world for an hour and a half? Maybe someone that has never attended a BCAS Concert before, or regularly attends Christmas and the Riv. There is something for everyone at this concert, and is sure to leave our attendees feeling refreshed. Therefore, there are a couple of things you can do within the next few weeks to really push this concert.
- Encourage friends and family to buy tickets!
- If you are affiliated with a church, consider asking them if you can put an add for our performances in their bulletin. It would be even more helpful if you could do this and make an announcement at church as well. Those personal connections are everything. To make things even easier, Kevin typed up something you could send to bulletins; just copy and past the following message!
Buffalo Choral Arts Society, a 110 voice chorus will present “Choral Reflections” a delightful mix of meditative choral literature from both sacred and poetic sources. Highlighted composers include Z. Randall Stroope, Randall Thompson, Morten Lauridsen and Dan Forrest. Come join the Buffalo Choral Arts Society for a concert guaranteed to relax and calm, 7:30 PM, Saturday, March 10th at Annunciation RC Church, 7580 Clinton St., Elma. and 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 11th at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 4369 S. Buffalo, St., Orchard Park. For information call 775-7664 or online at: BuffaloChoralArts.org
3. An email will be sent out before Wednesday’s rehearsal to promote our March concerts. Please forward that email to any friends/family that would be interested in our performance, and share it on social media!
As always, see the ticket crew at rehearsal to purchase or take out tickets on consignment. And as a reminder this week we are rehearsing at SWEET HOME MIDDLE SCHOOL (4150 Maple Road, Amherst). Park in the back of the school to enter the rehearsal space.
As a final note, Kelly will start taking money from sweatshirt orders, and if you are a new member that ordered concert attire and have not paid for it yet, see Sue Dosch at rehearsal. Finally, to anyone that has not paid dues for this year (new members in particular) Jill will be at Wednesday’s rehearsal to accept payments and touch base with anyone that needs to talk to her.
Thank you to everyone for working hard to prepare our music. Now we just need to sell tickets so others can hear our hard work too! See everyone Wednesday.
Best,
Beth Anne Jasen, BCAS Secretary
