Musical Mondays on a Tuesday

Greetings to all and I hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine this weekend. Please take note of the following reminders before our dress rehearsal. We will start promptly at 7:00 at the Riviera Theatre. Make sure you have your music in concert order in your black folder, especially the hunchback medley to figure out page turns! As you enter we will gather and leave all belongings in the audiences seats. Once the band is set up Marcia will call us to the risers. I would also recommend bringing a water bottle to rehearsal, the risers can get very hot under the lights. Other business to take care of:

  • Concert dress: If you missed the blog from last week, our dress for Sunday is as follows. You do not need to wear concert dress to the dress rehearsal (it will be WAY too hot!). Also please refrain from using strong scents, colognes, or lotions.
    • Ladies: black concert dress, black slacks, black shoes, black socks or knee highs, colorful pashmina, pearl stud earrings.
    • Gentlemen: black long sleeve button down shirt, black pants, black shoes, black socks, colorful solid tie.
  • If you haven’t had a chance to nominate someone for the annual service award this is the last week to do so! There are so many deserving members in our chorus that give so much time and effort for the good of the group.
  • Considering running for the board? Nominations must be turned in to Paula this week. Member at large positions are a one year term, so even if you are on the fence it is a great opportunity to be involved.
  • It’s almost picnic time! Join us for a wonderful evening of food, even better company, and a gorgeous setting by the lake. Payments can be given to Gail and please sign up to bring a dish to pass or volunteer to help set up or clean up. Come when you can as we celebrate another wonderful concert season.
