Musical Mondays

Hello all!

First, a reminder that our rehearsal is TOMORROW, Tuesday October 22nd. We are rehearsing at St. Joseph’s University church (3269 Main Street). Please come prepared with your music in your black folder in concert order (Star Spangled Banner, American Rhapsody, Let Freedom Ring, Brother My Brother, Ain’t Got Time to Die, Ching-a-ring Chaw, Home on the Range, I Hear America Singing, Anthem, Give me your tired…, God Bless America, Battle Hymn). Also since we need to use every minute of rehearsal time tomorrow to polish our pieces please take note of the following:

  • See the ticket crew to purchase tickets for Sunday, hand in money for consignment tickets, purchase season tickets, or Christmas tickets! Season tickets will only be on sale through Saturday at midnight, so if you know someone interested please purchase them asap. I know we are still in fall mode but our first Christmas concert is only 5 weeks away. Make sure you get your tickets ASAP!
  • See Andrea or her earlier blog post to sign up for crew on Sunday.
  • We need a few more members to sign up for the Sabres 50/50 raffle. And Sam promised us donuts if we can have 30 people by next Tuesday’s rehearsal! Help out with a super FUNraiser, and sign up so I don’t have to use that terrible pun until the fall. And also donuts!
  • See Sam and Lauren for the survivor pool!
  • All October music will be collected on Sunday after the concert. This will be further discussed at rehearsal so if you have any further questions anyone involved with the library can help.
  • Patron Drive is alive and well! If you have envelopes you would like us to stamp and mail, please have your envelopes signed and sealed at rehearsal tomorrow. If they aren’t ready we have stamps that we can give you so you can mail them on your own. The patron drive is a great way to not only sell Christmas tickets, but get a little extra donation from people if they so choose to give.
  • Program ads are due by November 1st! (next Thursday). If you reached out to anyone and have not heard back from them, maybe give them a call this week to remind them of the deadline.

Concert Dress:

Ladies: black pants, black tops, red/white/blue pashmina, black socks/stockings, black shoes. Please no scents of any kind for the day of the concert or dress rehearsal, as some members are sensitive to strong smells.

Gentlemen: black pants, black button down top, black socks, black shoes, patriotic tie. Please be sensitive of strong scents or colognes

Thank you to everyone for their hard work and dedication. I can’t wait to perform such wonderful relevant music to a deserving audience.

Also it was mentioned at our Sunday board meeting that people might want to dress up for our Tuesday October 30 rehearsal (at Sweet Home High School). So if you have a costume you want to wear feel free to do so next week!

Thanks,

Beth Anne Jasen
