Hello everyone!
Hope you are having a great start to the week. A few reminders to take note of before Wednesdays rehearsal…where we are back at Sweet Home High School.
- Survivor pool officially starts this week! See Sam Cook or Lauren Bowen to sign up. $20 to play, and all you have to do is pick a winning team each week (which is easier said than done). We are hoping for AT LEAST 20 more people to participate. Your odds of winning are probably a lot higher than the Bills winning the next game (although we can’t give up hope yet. Go Bills!)
- Practice CDs for the November concert are available FOR FREE. You can pick one up at rehearsal. They are wonderful to have when in your car, I love using mine as a warm up before rehearsal. However, if your car doesn’t have a CD player Linda has also offered that if you bring her a USB drive she can download the music onto it for you.
- You can pay your member dues to Rick Lesniak at rehearsal, or online with a credit card. Checks should be made out to Buffalo Choral Arts Society.
- Our BCAS welcome picnic is THIS SATURDAY. It should hopefully be a beautiful fall day. See Gail before the end of rehearsal to let her know you are attending, and see Tina Reece if you are able to help with set up/take down or can bring a dish to share. The cost is $12, or FREE to our new members and their guests. Current members are also welcome to bring guests not in the chorus, the cost is $12 for them as well. We hope to see everyone there for a wonderful evening.
- Pashminas will be on sale soon for new ladies, and anyone that would like to pick up a new pashmina. Each one is $5, and see Kim Guido with any questions.
- Looking to be a little more involved with BCAS? The crew committee is the PERFECT way to put in a little extra time to help the chorus in a big way. Andrea Rizzo is looking for people to be on the crew committee which includes: setting up before and after rehearsal, setting up for the concerts, or helping her scout out new rehearsal and venue spaces. Crew members will be on a rotating schedule so the same people aren’t setting up early before every rehearsal. Many hands make light work!
- We have our dates for the Sabres 50/50 fundraiser. See Sam or Lauren to sign up. If you have any questions they would be happy to help. Anyone can join us for the fundraiser, they just have to be over 18.
- Thank you to all that notified me of an address/email/phone number change. Please let me know any personal changes you have, as the official Fall Roster will be put on the member website by the end of the week.
