Music Theory Apps.

Hi Everyone,

I mentioned in rehearsal that the ability to identify the lines and spaces of both the treble and bass clef were important to help find your next starting pitch.  There are apps that will help you learn various aspects of music theory, and ear training.  Here are two that I thought were ok.  The first level is free, but according to one of the reviews, their is a cost for the upper levels.   They are found in the Google Play Store, however download at your own risk.  I downloaded them on my phone and can let you see the app in action.

My Music Theory App – This app can be downloaded on your phone or computer.  It will take you through some tutorials, provide practice exercises, and assessments.  The tutorials provide limited information, so depending on your knowledge level it may require you to review the information several times, or take reference notes.   In the practice exercises, if you get an answer wrong the app does not go back and reteach, or tell you why your answer was incorrect.  Each level progresses in difficulty.  Here is a link to the app; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myrapps.musictheory&hl=en_US&gl=US&pli=1

My Ear Training App –  This app can be downloaded on your phone or computer. Here is a link to the app; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myrapps.eartraining&hl=en_US&gl=US

See you tonight!
