Hi, all,
I would like to thank you all for the monumental effort that this chorus did to return the Dan Forrest and Riviera music to us. I have only a few people left. I am sending out this Blog to encourage all of you to return any music that you may have that belongs to us so that we can work on our library and the pursuit of missing music during our “pause”. If you have any music to return, please contact me asap at 716-435-0176. You can leave a message if needed. I will promise to get back to you.
Next, I think all of you who are involved in BCAS know that there is an army of volunteers who keep the ship afloat and give freely of their time. We would like to use this “time out” to accomplish some of our goals that we have little time to complete during the season. I am asking that if you are interested in some volunteerism to help us move toward our Grand Return, please let me know and I will give you a call to see what interests you. If there is something that you have a passion about improving, this is the time for us to work on the improvements. You can email me at shadowlear@aol.com or give me a call and leave a message at 716-435-0176. We will accomplish all of this on Zoom so you will be safe and we will meet as needed to reach our goals.
One example of this is a BCAS Handbook that will be handed out to all chorus members and new members who join us next year. We would like to have this be inclusive of all of our needs and it will take a group of volunteers to work on different parts of the handbook. We are also working on recruitment of new members and how to accomplish that next year. Another current topic is work on the website to get it updated. It is also time to gather a current evaluation of the value of the library. These are a few examples of areas that we are looking for volunteers to work with us.
So…….missing music or volunteerism, give me a call or send an email and I will get right back to you! We can reconnect through volunteerism and stay in touch!
Stay safe and enjoy our August days as we move toward fall.
Gail
