MORE FUN AHEAD! Mark your calendars!

Hi, all,

After basically 4 years, the BCAS Manor House picnics return!  Marcia has requested fun, relaxation, game playing, poker playing picnics for her final “hoo ha”, Here are the basics:

  1.  For all newcomers, this event will be held on the lake at the Bluff’s in Derby where there is a big two-story Manor House and pool for events. I live in this development and it is a really beautiful spot.  The actual address is 6462 Old Lakeshore Rd, Derby, if you would like to take a leisurely ride out to check it out!
  2. There will be 2 events so we can assure that all of you will be able to attend at least one of them.  The first date is Wednesday, June 14th.  This would be our normal rehearsal night.  The event time is 4-10PM.  We encourage retirees, donors, to come that day.  However, anyone can come if you wish!  The second date is Saturday, June 17th from 2-10PM.
  3. Cost will be $15 per person plus your favorite appetizer, side dish, or dessert to share.  Price will include hamburgers, hot dogs, rolls, condiments, venue rental, paper products, beverages such as coffee, tea, water bottles, and pop.  BYOB any other beverages that you wish to enjoy.
  4. There is an 80 person limit per event.   Spouses, friends, donors, past members are all invited.  Children would be free, however, it is called the Bluff’s and the drop to the lake is dangerous so little ones would need to remain poolside of the building.
  5. Rain or shine.  I have the entire building reserved for each event.  Bring lawn chairs, games, pool will be open, There is plenty of room for lawn games and/or board games.
  6. A basket will be provided for cards, notes, letters, etc. for our leader extraordinaire.
  7. Questions go to me:  Gail, 716-435-0176, You can text or call me.  Email address is Gleary44@gmail.com
  8. Sign up sheets will be available in May.  80 person limit per event.  Lots of volunteer help will be needed.  Money due PRIOR to the event.

Hope you are all doing well and I hope to see you soon.   I have graduated from a wheelchair to a walker to a cane.  Still no driving, skipping, running, etc.  but I’m getting there.

Take care and be careful every step you take!

Gail
