Hello,
As you know, there’s a great deal of non-singing work that goes into preparing for and executing every successful BCAS season. And as the saying goes, “many hands make light work”. There are many committees that work throughout the year, and we need member volunteers to help.
Please take a look at the committees below and consider sharing your other, non-vocal talents with BCAS. If you think you can volunteer a little time, please use the form below to let us know which committee you’d like to join.
- Ticket Committee—Kevin Phalen, Chair. Help answer the Box Office phone (forwarded to your phone number) one day a week, sell tickets and collect money at rehearsals.
- Publicity Committee—Kevin Phalen and Tom Naber, Co-Chairs. Help with social media posting and monitoring on various platforms, media planning and ad scheduling, posting concerts on various online event calendars, coordinate flyer distribution, etc.
- Ticket Pricing & Planning—Gail Leary, Chair. Review ticket pricing and revenues to determine potential pricing increases and season ticket options.
- Foundation Grants & Corporate Sponsorships—Gail Leary, Chair. Pursue grants and corporate sponsorship opportunities.
- Fundraising—Kim Guido, Chair. Recruit volunteers and help coordinate participation in group fundraising efforts throughout the year.
- Marketing and Group Sales—Shandra Holt, Chair. Contact various groups on the BCAS database to promote concert attendance among groups. Deliver concert information packets in early fall with posters and flyers for all of the season’s concert events.
- Library Committee—Gail Leary and Rick Lesniak, Co-Chairs. Help with scanning, sorting, filing and assembling music.
- BCAS Bylaws Review Committee—(Chair TBD). Review the BCAS bylaws to recommend revisions and updates.
- New Member Packet Committee—Kim Guido, Chair. Compile and distribute orientation packets to new members to help answer questions and ensure a smooth transition.
- Operations Committee—Rick Lesniak, Chair. Help set up and break down concert and rehearsal space. Assist with transporting risers and equipment.
- Program Ad Committee—Shandra Holt, Chair. Assist with proofreading of all ads, key in ad content for program ads that need to be developed; write thank you notes and mail program samples to advertisers.
As you can see, there is much to be done. Thank you for volunteering!
