HI, all,
I told you to keep the concept of Hope for this concert and today, the CDC has moved our county into the Medium infection rate zone.
- The positivity rate for June 2nd was 9.7% and the 7-day average is 10.6%. 10.0% is considered low when we have fewer than 200 new cases per 100,000. We are on the cusp of that! CDC Recommended individual and household level prevention for medium level is that immunocompromised or high risk individuals should ask their physician about wearing a mask. If someone in your family is at high risk, consider wearing a mask. Maintain improved ventilation throughout an indoor space when possible. Implement enhanced prevention measures in high risk congregate settings.
- With that said, the Board has agreed that you may make a choice about wearing a mask if we were moved into the medium infection rate. If you choose to wear one while singing, you may do so but it will need to be black to establish uniformity. If you choose not to wear one, please take a look at the CDC guidelines that I have listed above and choose accordingly. FYI is that you all sang in a mask at Christmas with the levels in the 10-11 % infection rate zone.
- If you are not going to be attending rehearsal tonight, please let us know. Consider going onto Zoom if you are not feeling well. If you have ANY Covid symptoms, please consider those around you and stay home. Catching it from a fellow singer now would be upsetting to those who have worked so hard to do their best singing.
- If you have not checked off your information of address, email, phone number, please see me when you arrive tonight. Alto’s, I have found you! So I have the sheet for you to check, as well. Please put a check mark next to your name if you have checked your information.
- Concert attire questions come to me. Remember, it is black, black, black. Women are asked to avoid hair ornaments, and please wear stud earrings only. No necklaces.
See you later!
Gail
