Dress Rehearsal Notes

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all your hard work over the past few months to prepare this concert. It sounds great!

Here are a few notes in preparation for tomorrow’s dress rehearsal.

1. To keep everyone together, it is crucial to look up whenever you have an entrance, dynamic change, or tempo change. Rely on your eyes and not your ears.
2. Altos could use more presence to balance the other sections. Sometimes your sound can get buried in the blend.
3. Always remember that each phrase you sing has a beginning, middle, and an end. Make sure it is sung musically with a dynamic rise and fall.
4. Long held notes should always move in volume.
5. Let’s share the music and fill the church, invite your family and friends.

See everyone tomorrow at 9:45 am for riser placement.

Thanks
David
