A message from Gail:
Hey, chorus members! Are you missing BCAS and all of the terrific people involved in our chorus? If yes, we are looking for additional help with some of our summer committees. Please consider helping us out so we can get a head start on next season and spend a little extra time together! Below are the committees we still really need help with.
- Publicity committee: Co-chairs—Kevin Phalen and Tom Naber. We are looking for people who can help develop the publicity plan for the season. “Many hands make light work”, and right now this committee needs at least three to four more people. We need to develop plans that will cross social media, print information, TV/Radio and portable publicity boards, which worked so well for the Riviera (Thanks, Doug). What can you do to help? Come on board and bring your great ideas! Possibly 2-3 meetings needed.
- Ticket pricing and season ticket consideration: Chair—Gail Leary. One more person would be great. We want to take a look at our current ticket costs and see if they should be raised and also discuss a possible season ticket trial. 1-2 meetings are needed.
- Foundations, grants, and corporate sponsorship committees: Chair—Gail Leary. Several more people are needed for this committee. This is the committee which could bring to our chorus funding for special projects. These projects could include a concert with orchestra, etc. We will be setting some goals for projects that could be possibilities and their costs. We need some good ideas and some good input. Right now, this committee has only 3 members. This will be overwhelming for them to make very much progress without more help.
- Fundraising: Chair—Kim Guido. This committee would be discussing Savers, Sabres, and Bandits fundraising. The when, the why, and the how. Kim has no one on this committee right now, and I’m sure she could use 2-3 people to help with this planning. 1-2 meetings are needed.
All other committees are complete and thank you to all of you who have come forward.
