Greetings Fellow Hall-of-Famers:
This Wednesday evening we’re going to begin our Christmas Patron Drive Campaign. For those who are new to us, it’s one of our major fund-raisers of the year. It allows prospective ticket buyers the opportunity to purchase Christmas tickets and, for a small, additional donation, be listed in our Christmas Program for one of the various Benefactor Levels. The additional donation is tax deductible and goes a long way in helping to fund our concerts and keep the tickets more affordable for all. Historically, this added revenue has added up to 15% of our income. This is so important to our group as we face ever-increasing costs. We’re actually beginning this campaign a week later than usual because of the time constraints of last weeks dress rehearsal.
At the rehearsal you will receive a packet containing 10 letters, 10 ticket order forms and 10 envelopes. We ask each member to please send out 10 letters to friends, family, coworkers, etc. inviting them to purchase tickets and support us at one of the four patron levels. The form letter has a space at the top for you to write the name of the person you are sending the letter to as well as a space near the bottom for you to write your own personal note. On the envelope we ask you to print your name above the return address in the event the letter is returned. Then, after inserting the letter and order form in the envelope, please seal them, but no need to stamp. We’ll provide the stamp.
If it’s easier (and to help speed along the process), you could (1) bring with you ten addresses and fill them out before the rehearsal or during the break. Then we can stamp them and mail them. Or, (2) you could take some stamps with you and mail them during the week (but please don’t forget). Lastly, (3) bring them back to the next rehearsal and we’ll stamp and mail.
NOTE: the following rehearsal is the Dress Rehearsal for the October Concert at St. Joseph University Church on Main Street next to the UB South Campus on Tuesday, October 23rd.
See you all this Wednesday, October 17th at Sweet Home High School.
