Hello fellow BCAS members! Do you like singing? (Of course you do!) Do you like flash mobs? Do you like promoting our delightful local choir and gaining some awesome publicity and perhaps new members in the process? Then BOY do I have the opportunity for you!
We will be staging a FLASH MOB on Sunday, July 28th on Allen St, and we are looking for singers!
MAJOR INFO:
DATE: (as stated above): July 28th
TIME: 3:00-4:30. We are singing at 4:00, but we would like to account for time to park & people to mozy on over. Ideally, everyone will be in place to sing by 3:30.
LOCATION: On Allen St, right by Hardware.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in doing, keep reading for more information!
You have questions, I’m sure. Probably such as:
“What will we be singing?”
The Hallelujah Chorus!
“But how will it work?”
The performance will be advertised as a performance as part of the infringement festival. She will play other music for a bit. We will be posing as audience members. Then, at 4, she will go into the opening of HALLELUJAH. As of now, we’re thinking one soprano will start, and then we’ll have others chime in until all parts are represented, & then people join as we go along.
“Can only BCAS members participate?”
Nope!! Does your husband/wife/child/significant other remember the music from when they sang it? (because, let’s be honest — if you’ve ever been in a choir…you’ve sung it!) Great! Come on down! Any and all are welcome….especially tenors lol
“But where will we park?”
As of now, we’re thinking Kleinhans. This is why we’re asking people to block off an hour and a half — it gives you time to make sure you’re parked and in place.
“Do you need a solid answer today?”
No…but we would really, REALLY appreciate your confirmed attendance ASAP. We need to account for things like balance among parts, and we cannot do that until people firmly commit.
“Will there be a rehearsal?”
Yes, probably. More details coming soon.
“How can I tell you I’m interested?”
With the google form below, Please know that if you check “interested,” within the next week or so I’m going to be contacting you to get a firm answer: again, we need to know our numbers solid ASAP.
“Can I share this google form with my spouse/partner/friend/coworker who I think would like to participate?”
ABSOLUTELY! Just try not to shout it from the rooftops, because, well, flash mobs rely on secrecy.
Let’s do this team! so that anyone who wants to participate has the opportunity to do so. The more the merrier (and vocally impressive!)
Thank you very much!
