Announcements and Volunteer Opportunities

Hello Everyone,

Just a few post-concert announcements and opportunities:

  • Our ticket total for Christmas. We had 165 walk-ins at Ss. Peter and Paul, and between the two concerts we sold just about 880 tickets. Great job everyone!
  • We have the opportunity to do some caroling at the Sabres game next Tuesday, 12/19. We would be there from 5:30 when the doors open to 7:00 when the puck drops. We need about 10 – 12 people total to do it. If you can, please fill out this form with your information. A couple people have let me know they can join, so we probably need 8 or 9 more people. If you have any questions, you can email me at tnaber1@gmail.com. Please let me know as soon as you can, so that I can give them an accurate head-count at the Sabres for how many to expect.
  • On Monday, January 15th (MLK Day), we have our second Sabres 50/50 game. This is a 1:00 pm game with 11:00 am or 12:00 pm arrival. We need 25 people to volunteer for this. As a reminder, we show up, learn how to use the devices to sell 50/50 tickets (very easy to use!) and then we sell 50/50 tickets through the end of the 2nd intermission. At the last 50/50 we earned $1,300 for the chorus. If you can help with this, please fill out this form.
  • Please look out for another blog from me sometime between Christmas and the new year with a mid-season survey. We’re just looking to get some feedback about how you feel this season is going.
  • We passed out the music for our March concert at the dress rehearsal for SSPP. If you did not get it, you should be able to get it at our first rehearsal in January. David has posted the practice tracks as well as the reference recordings, and they will be on the “files you may need” page shortly. Please take a look at his notes and those practice tracks between now and our first rehearsal on January 3rd.

I hope you all enjoy your holidays, time with family and friends, and hopefully a little bit of a break over the next few weeks, and I’ll see you in January!

Best,

Tom
