The chorus was honored to perform at several prestigious and solemn locations around Washington, DC. Our first performance that weekend was at the National Cathedral, as one of very few secular community choruses to grace the altar there. Next we kicked off the 4th of July parade on the National Mall in the midst of thousands of onlookers. Our big night continued on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center, followed by fireworks. The final performance was a series of concerts for wounded veterans at Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland. On the last day, just prior to leaving Washington, we were able to tour The White House - a visit arranged by one of our previous members!
